Help me Saint Thomas to be humble and loving like you, to walk on foot beside Jesus. Teach me to live and be example of the truth, justice, and faithfulness to God’s law and His Church, as you did.

“What a blessed thing it was to suffer loss of goods or imprisonment for the love of God.  If you will stand fast and cleave to God even at the cost of life itself  when you shall see virtue punished and vice rewarded, then, if you be but half  good,  God will count you as wholly good.”

You who suffered persecution, Saint Thomas More, imprisonment and death for protesting against Henry VIII,  who in order to get married again proclaimed himself the head of the Church of England,  intercede for me to obtain the courage to stand up for the virtues and values of our Faith and also to be always attentive to the work of our politicians and leaders, to see that social justice, human rights and freedom prevail, to avoid being the “lukewarm water” of the Bible for the greatest Glory of our Lord Jesus Christ . Amen
