SAINT MARTHA OUR PATRON SAINT OF "COOKS"

Saint Martha, I resort to thy aid and protection. As proof of my affection and faith, I offer thee this light, which I shall burn every Tuesday. Comfort me in all my difficulties and through the great favors thou didst enjoy when the Savior was lodged in thy house, intercede for my family, that we be provided for in our neccessities. I ask of thee, Saint Martha, to overcome all difficulties as thou didst overcome the dragon which thou hadst at thy feet. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.....Amen Our Father, Hail Mary, Gloria

Oh Lord our God, joy abounds from your heart in the lives of your saints; You present them to us so that we may live by their example; hear the prayers which we present to you today.

Help us, o Lord, to imitate Saint Martha in her respect and love, which virtues she lived to the full everytime she welcomed your dear Son in her home; and help us to welcome your Son in our homes and families, so that your joy will never be amiss in our lives.

Oh Lord, our God, make us serve your Son, as Saint Martha used to do, but at the same time teach us to listen to His Word, so that the same Word would become in our lives good deeds for the salvation of mankind.

Saint Martha, we put our lives under your protection. Console us in our difficulties, for the sake of the honour and grace you had in welcoming the Lord in your home. Be kind to us and intercede for us to achieve the divine favours which we need for our spiritual well being. Intercede for our families, so that they will have throughout their lives, all they need.

Santa Marta, en busca de tu ayuda y proteccion, y como prueba de mi afecto y fe, te ofrezco la luz de esta vela que alumbrara cada dia Martes. Consuelame en todas mis dificultades y por los grandes servicios que ofreciste a nuestro Salvador cuando lo albergaste en tu hogar, intercede por mi familia, para que no sufra necesidades. Te pido, Santa Marta, que venzas todas las dificultades, asi como venciste al dragon que cayo rendido a tus pies. En el nombre del Padre, del Hijo y del Espiritu Santo. Amen Padre Nuestro, Ave Maria, Gloria.

Oh Señor nuestro Dios, la alegría abunda de su corazón en las vidas de sus santos; Usted los presenta a nosotros para que nosotros podamos vivir por su ejemplo; oiga las oraciones que nosotros presentamos a usted hoy.

Ayúdenos, o Señor, a imitar Santa Marta en su respeto y amor, virtudes que ella vivió al lleno cada vez que ella dio la bienvenida a su estimado Hijo en su casa; y ayúdenos para que nosotros demos la bienvenida a su Hijo en nuestras casas y familias, para que su alegría nunca estuviera extrañando en nuestras vidas.

Oh Señor, nuestro Dios, nos hace servir a su Hijo, como Santa Marta hacía, pero al mismo tiempo nos enseña a escuchar a Su Palabra, para que la misma Palabra se volviera en nuestras vidas los hechos buenos para la salvación de la humanidad.

Santa Marta, nosotros pusimos nuestras vidas bajo su protección. Consuélenos en nuestras dificultades, por causa del honor y se agracia usted tenía, dando la bienvenida al Señor en su casa. Sea amable a nosotros e interceda para nosotros lograr los favores divinos que nosotros necesitamos para nuestro vida espiritual. Interceda para nuestras familias, para que ellos tuvieran a lo largo de sus vidas, todos que ellos necesitan.
