Saint John of God, the Lord has shown us, through you, that even when we are great sinners we can turn our lives around and be good. You have taught us that the most valuable proclamation of our Faith is to be compassionate, to put our Faith in action in a loving way and reach out to those in need. Help us Saint John of God to obtain from the Holy Spirit the gift of Love.

You who loved and served the sick, please listen my prayer today for (name the person) and take it to the Lord, my love with your love, working together, will get the healing so desperately needed, and while you are there, tell Mary how much I truly love her too.

Profile:
Shepherd. Spent a wild youth, and travelled over much of Europe as a soldier and mercenary. Brief period of insanity. In his 40's, to make up for the misery he had caused as a soldier, he left the military, rented a house in Granada, Spain, and began caring for the sick, poor, homeless and unwanted. He gave what he had, begged for those who couldn't, carried those who could not move on their own, and converted both his patients and those who saw him. Founded the Order of Charity and the Order of Hospitallers of Saint John of God. Friend of Saint John of Avila. His motto: "Labor without stopping.
Do all the good works you can while you still have the time."
Born: 1495 in Montemoro Novo, Evora, Portugal
Died: 8 March 1550 while praying before a crucifix from a illness contracted while saving a drowning man.

Dear St. John of God,after a sinful life, through the power of God's holy Word you learned to love your fellow human beings. Self-sacrificing, you founded the Society of Hospital Brothers. No wonder the Church made you the patron of patients and nurses. That is why we confidently have recourse to you. Please give assistance to {name of heart patient}, and teach us to be kind like you. Amen.

O God, You filled Saint John with the spirit of compassion. Grant that by practicing works of charity we may deserve to be numbered among the elect in Your Kingdom. Amen.

San Juan de Dios, el Señor nos ha mostrado, a traves de ti, que incluso cuando somos grandes pecadores, podemos cambiar nuestras vidas para ser buenos. Tu nos has enseñado que la forma mas valiosa de proclamar nuestra Fe es teniendo compasion, poniendo nuestra Fe en accion amorosamente, para tocar aquellos en necesidad. Ayudanos San Juan de Dios a obtener del Espiritu Santo, el don del Amor.

Tu que amaste y serviste a los enfermos, escucha por favor mi oracion hoy dia por (nombre la persona) y llevala al Señor, mi amor con tu amor, trabajando juntos, obtendran la sanacion que necesitamos desesperadamente. Y mientras estas alli, dile tambien a Maria cuanto la amo.

Historia:
Pastor. Vivio una juventud rebelde y viajo por muchas partes de Europa como soldado y mercenario. Corto periodo de locura. En sus 40s, para reparar la miseria que el habia causado como soldado, abandono la milicia, arrendo una casa en Granada, España, y comenzo a cuidar enfermos, pobres, los sin casa y rechazados. El dio lo que tenia, suplico por aquellos que no podian, acarreo aquellos que no se podian mover y convirtio sus pacientes y los que lo vieron. Fundo la Orden de Caridad y la Orden de Hospitalarios de San Juan de Dios. Amigo de San Juan de Avila.

Murio: 8 March 1550, mientras oraba ante un crucifijo de una enfermedad

Querido San Juan de Dios, despues de una vida pecadora, a traves del poder de la Santa palabra de Dios, aprendiste a amar al ser humano. Sacrificandote a ti mismo, fundaste la Sociedad de Hermanos Hospitalarios. Entiendo ahora porque la Iglesia te nombro el Patrono de pacientes y enfermeras/os. Por eso confiadamente recurrimos a ti. Por favor asiste a (nombre el enfermo del corazon), y enseñanos a ser amables como tu. Amen.
