Dear Saint Peregrine,
A PRAYER TO SAINT PEREGRINE FOR WORLD PEACE Saint Peregrine, you spent your early years as a man of violence and intolerance. Your anger and selfishness blinded you to other points of view. Then a plea for reconciliation from St. Philip Benizi opened your eyes to God's dream of peace and the command of Jesus that we serve one another. We implore your powerful aid, Saint Peregrine, as we continue to work for peace and understanding in today's world. Help people of violence redirect their energy to building the Kingdom of God. Help the Church be a sign of unity to a divided world. Help each of us make a home for the Prince of Peace in our family and in our Heart. Amen. PRAYER FOR THE SICK OF THE WORLD THROUGH THE INTERCESSION OF: SAINT PEREGRINE Graciously hear the prayer which we present O God, to You in honor of St. Peregrine, your beloved servant and patron of those suffering from cancer, Aides, or other life-threatening diseases. Grant that we may receive help in our needs through the intercession of Him whose life Was so pleasing to you. Hear us in the Name Of Christ, our Lord. Amen. PRAYER TO SAINT PEREGRINE FOR ONE SELF Saint Peregrine, help me to imitate you in bearing whatever cross God may permit to come to me, uniting myself with Jesus Crucified and the Mother of Sorrows. I offer my sufferings to God with all the love of my heart, for His glory and the salvation of souls, especially my own. Amen. ANOTHER PRAYER FOR SICK FRIENDS AND RELATIVES Saint Peregrine, as a humble Servant of Mary, you experienced human weakness and the pain and suffering of sickness. Knowing that medicine and human knowledge have limits, we pray for all those involved with the medical profession that they will be a true source of healing and comfort to all people. Like you, we also turn to God in our suffering. Just as Jesus reached out and touched you with His healing hand, we pray that the following sick person(s) will be strengthened in body and spirit and cured of their illness by Jesus Christ through your intercession.(Here list the name(s) of your sick relatives and friends.) In gratitude we pray for all the people of the world that they will come to know you, Saint Peregrine, and the love that God has for each of them. Amen. A NOVENA PRAYER TO SAINT PEREGRINE Saint Peregrine, whom Holy Mother Church has declared patron of those suffering from running sores and cancer, I confidently turn to you for aid in my present need (Mention your request).Lest I lose confidence, I beg your kind intercession. Plead with Mary, the Mother of Sorrows, whom you loved so tenderly, and in union with whom you have suffered the pains of cancer, that she may help me with her all-powerful prayers and consolation. Obtain for me the strength to accept my trials from the loving hand of God with patience and resignation. May suffering lead me to a better life and enable me to atone for my own sins and the sins of the world. Amen. ANOTHER NOVENA TO SAINT PEREGRINE Glorious wonder worker, Saint Peregrine, you answered the divine call with a ready spirit, and forsook all the comforts of a life of ease and all the empty honors of the world to dedicate yourself to God in the Order Of His Holy Mother. You labored manfully for the salvation of souls. In union with Jesus Crucified, you endured painful sufferings with such patience as to deserve to be healed miraculously of an incurable cancer in your leg by a touch of His Divine Hand. Obtain for me the grace to answer every call of God and to fulfill His will in all the events of life. Enkindle in my heart a consuming zeal for the salvation of all men. Deliver me from the infirmities that afflict my body especially (Mention request here.) Obtain for me also a perfect resignation to the sufferings it may please God to send to me, so that, imitating our Crucified Savior and His Sorrowful Mother, I may merit eternal glory in Heaven. Amen. PRAYER TO THE MOTHER OF SORROWS THROUGH THE INTERCESSION OF SAINT PEREGRINE O my dearest Mother Mary, Mother of Sorrows, behold me, your child, in prayer. I have come to plead for this special favor through the intercession of your faithful servant, Saint Peregrine. (Mention your request.) O Sorrowful Mother, I beg you to present my petition to your Divine Son. If you will pray for me, I cannot be refused. I know, dearest Mother, that you want me to seek God's will in all things. Therefore, with childlike trust I abandon myself to God's Holy Will concerning my request. If what I ask for should not be granted, pray that I may receive that which will be greater benefit to my soul. Mother of Sorrows I love you! I put all my confidence in you, because your prayers before God are most powerful. For the greater glory of God and through the intercession of Saint Peregrine, whom you have led to sainthood, hear and grant my prayer. Amen. |
