Malibu Missionaries for food is a group (small) sometimes
me alone, of cooks that go out in the evenings, when we have food to cook
and serve the people on the street. We are a group of Chefs and cooks from
some of Los Angeles fine 5 star hotels. We cook and serve Gourmet food
to the street people, Steak, Lobster, Crab, Fish ect. Why do we serve fine
dinning to the helpless? Because I have found that sometimes and often
a person's stomach need not be empty to be hungry. We do not feed the masses
because we know that one meal will not save the lives of the people the
next day! And there are plenty of missionaries that do that type of mass
feeding of the poor! We simply go to the alleys and back streets and serve
fine dinners to a few! And simply say a prayer over the food and leave
them wondering why, Why just a few minutes ago they were hungry and cursing
the rich, and now they are eating as if they were rich. "We feed the spirit,
not the stomach". And we hope they will understand! Anyway that is between
God and them when we leave! But we witness a miracle each time we go out
on a mission. Sometimes we have more then we can use. In that case we will
share with the Catholic Charities in Venice Beach California. As well as
referrals from people who let us know who the needy are in there neighborhoods!
We have adopted some working poor families as well. But that is enough
of what we do. We pray that you never meet us out there!......
