WHEAT
IN THE NEW TESTAMENT 12 of 12
Mat
3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that
cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear:
he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:
Mat
3:12 Whose fan is in his hand, and he will thoroughly purge his
floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up
the chaff with unquenchable fire.
Mat
13:25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among
the wheat, and went his way.
Mat
13:26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit,
then appeared the tares also.
Mat
13:27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him,
Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it
tares?
Mat
13:28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants
said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?
Mat
13:29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root
up also the wheat with them.
Mat
13:30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time
of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares,
and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into
my barn.
Mat
13:31 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom
of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed
in his field:
Mat
13:32 Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown,
it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds
of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.
Luke
3:16 John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you
with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes
I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and
with fire:
Luke
3:17 Whose fan is in his hand, and he will thoroughly purge his
floor, and will gather the wheat into his garner; but the chaff
he will burn with fire unquenchable.
Luke
16:7 Then said he to another, And how much owest thou? And he said,
An hundred measures of wheat. And he said unto him, Take thy bill,
and write fourscore.
Luke
16:8 And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had
done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser
than the children of light.
Luke
22:31 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired
to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:
Luke
22:32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and
when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.
John
12:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of
wheat
fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth
forth much fruit.
John
12:25 He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth
his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.
Acts
27:37 And we were in all in the ship two hundred threescore and
sixteen souls.
Acts
27:38 And when they had eaten enough, they lightened the ship,
and cast out the wheat into the sea.
1
Cor:15:37 And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body
that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or
of some other grain:
1
Cor:15:38 But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and
to every seed his own body.
1
Cor:15:39 All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is
one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and
another of birds.
1
Cor:15:40 There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial:
but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial
is another.

measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a
penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.
Rev

the fourth beast say, Come and see.

and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and

18:14 And the fruits that thy soul lusted after are departed
from thee, and all things which were dainty and goodly are departed from
thee, and thou shalt find them no more at all.

shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing,
