LAMB
IN THE NEW TESTAMENT 31 of 31
John
1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith,
Behold
the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.
John
1:30 This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man which is
preferred before me: for he was before me.
John
1:31 And I knew him not: but that he should be made manifest to
Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water.
John
1:32 And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending
from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him.
John
1:33 And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water,
the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending,
and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.
John
1:34 And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God.
John
1:35 Again the next day after John stood, and two of his disciples;
John
1:36 And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the
Lamb
of God!
John
1:37 And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.
John
1:38 Then Jesus turned, and saw them following, and saith unto
them, What seek ye?
They said unto him, Rabbi, (which is to say, being interpreted, Master,)
where dwellest thou?
Acts
8:31 And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And
he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him.
Acts
8:32 The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was
led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before
his shearer, so opened he not his mouth:
Pet
1:18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible
things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition
from your fathers;
Pet
1:19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb
without blemish and without spot:
Pet
1:20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world,
but was manifest in these last times for you,
Pet
1:21 Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the
dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.
Rev
5:6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the
four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it
had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the
seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.
Rev
5:7 And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him
that sat upon the throne.
Rev
5:8 And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and
four
and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one
of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of
saints.
Rev
5:9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the
book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed
us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and
nation;
Rev
5:10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall
reign on the earth.
Rev
5:11 And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round
about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them
was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;
Rev
5:12 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was
slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour,
and glory, and blessing.
Rev
5:13 And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and
under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them,
heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him
that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.
Rev
5:14 And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders
fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever.
Rev
6:1 And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and
I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying,
Come and see.
Rev
6:2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat
on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering,
and to conquer.
Rev
6:15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich
men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and
every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the
mountains;
Rev
6:16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide
us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath
of the Lamb:
Rev
6:17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall
be able to stand?
Rev
7:9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man
could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood
before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes,
and palms in their hands;
Rev
7:10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God
which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.
Rev
7:11 And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about
the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces,
and worshipped God,
Rev
7:12 Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving,
and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.
Rev
7:13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these
which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?
Rev
7:14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me,
These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their
robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
Rev
7:15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him
day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell
among them.
Rev
7:16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither
shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.
Rev
7:17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne
shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and
God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
Rev
12:10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come
salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his
Christ:
for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before
our God day and night.
Rev
12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and
by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the
death.
Rev
12:12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them.
Woe
to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come
down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but
a short time.
Rev
13:7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and
to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues,
and nations.
Rev
13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him,
whose
names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain
from the foundation of the world.
Rev
13:9 If any man have an ear, let him hear.
Rev
13:10 He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity:
he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here
is the patience and the faith of the saints.
Rev
13:11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and
he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.
Rev
13:12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before
him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the
first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
Rev
14:1 And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion,
and
with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name
written in their foreheads.
Rev
14:2 And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters,
and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping
with their harps:
Rev
14:3 And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and
before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song
but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed
from the earth.
Rev
14:4 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they
are virgins. These are they which follow the
Lamb whithersoever
he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto
God and to the Lamb.
Rev
14:10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which
is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he
shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy
angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
Rev
15:1And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven
angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath
of God.
Rev
15:2 And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and
them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and
over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass,
having the harps of God.
Rev
15:3 And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the
song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord
God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.
Rev
15:4 Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for
thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee;
for thy judgments are made manifest.
Rev
17:10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and
the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short
space.
Rev
17:11 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth,
and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.
Rev
17:12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which
have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with
the beast.
Rev
17:13 These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength
unto the beast.
Rev
17:14 These shall make war with the
Lamb, and the
Lamb
shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings:
and
they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.
Rev
19:6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and
as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying,
Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.
Rev
19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him:
for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself
ready.
Rev
19:8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine
linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
Rev
19:9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called
unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These
are the true sayings of God.
Rev
21:14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in
them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
Rev
21:21 And the twelve gates were twelve pearls: every several gate
was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were
transparent glass.
Rev
21:22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and
the Lamb are the temple of it.
Rev
21:23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon,
to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb
is the light thereof.
Rev
21:24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the
light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour
into it.
Rev
21:25 And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for
there shall be no night there.
Rev
21:26 And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations
into it.
Rev
21:27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth,
neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which
are written in the Lamb's book of life.
Rev
22:1 And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal,
proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
Rev
22:2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the
river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits,
and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for
the healing of the nations.
Rev
22:3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God
and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:
Rev
22:4 And they shall see his face;
and his name shall be in their foreheads.
Rev
22:5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle,
neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and
they shall reign for ever and ever.
