HONEY
IN THE NEW TESTAMENT 4 of 4
Mat
3:1 In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness
of Judaea,
Mat
3:2 And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Mat
3:3 For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying,
The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord,
make his paths straig
Mat
3:4 And the same John had his raiment of camel's hair, and a leathern
girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey.
Mat
3:5 Then went out to him Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and all the
region round about Jordan,
Mat
3:6 And were baptized of him in Jordan, confessing their sins.
Mark
1:6 And John was clothed with camel's hair, and with a girdle of
a skin about his loins; and he did eat locusts and wild honey;
Mark
1:7 And preached, saying, There cometh one mightier than I after
me, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to stoop down and unloose.
Mark
1:8 I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize
you with the Holy Ghost.
Rev
10:8 And the voice which I heard from heaven spake unto me again,
and said, Go and take the little book which is open in the hand of the
angel which standeth upon the sea and upon the earth.
Rev
10:9 And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the
little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall
make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey.
Rev
10:10 And I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate
it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had
eaten it, my belly was bitter.
Rev
10:11 And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many
peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.
