THESTUDY
OF HERBS IN THE NEW TESTAMENT 4 of 4
Mat:
13:31 Another parable put he forth untothem, saying, The kingdom
of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took,
and sowed in his field:
Mat:
13:32 Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown,
it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the
birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.
Mark:
4:30 And he said, Where unto shall we liken the kingdom of God?
or with what comparison shall we compare it?
Mark:
4:31 It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it
is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that be in the earth:
Mark:
4:32 But when it is sown, it growethup, and becometh greater than
all herbs, and shooteth out great branches; so that the fowls of
the air may lodge under the shadow of it.
Mark:
4:33 And with many such parables spake he the word unto them, as
they were able to hear it.
Luke
11:40 Ye fools, did not he that made that which is without make
that which is within also?
Luke
11:41 But rather give alms of such things as ye have; and, behold,
all things are clean unto you.
Luke
11:42 But woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and
rue and all manner of herbs, and passover judgment and the love
of God: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
Rom
14:1 Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful
disputations.
Rom
14:2 For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who
is weak, eateth herbs.
Rom
14:3 Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let
not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him.
Heb
6:7 For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon
it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed,
receiveth blessing from God:
Heb
6:8 But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is
nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.
Heb
6:9 But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things
that accompany salvation, though we thus speak.
